Noreña, county town and chacinera
Noreña is a unique town, no matter how you look at it. Not only because of its status as county or capital of the municipality with one of the highest per capita income in all of Asturias, but for its open and festive spirit. And of course for its great tradition and gastronomic creativity, in regard to the meat and pork industries.
In Noreña you can taste some excellent tripe, an adobu to suck your fingers, some amazing gizzards or a stew of ten. And you will also discover Sabadiego, because it was invented there.
A stroll through the village will discover a pleasant historical center, very atmospheric with its bars, cafes, restaurants and cider houses.
The county villa will be for you the village of festive flavors!
The Fitu …
A 360º panorama of natural spectacle, with the Bay of Biscay and the profile, almost always snow-capped, of the Picos de Europa.
We have a space reserved for leaving the car and a Recreational Area
To reach the viewpoint we will descend on foot along a ramp, not very demanding, up to the steps that take us to the top.
Inaugurated in 1927, the first thing that will surprise us upon arrival is the viewpoint itself. It has a small UFO shape, although the locals quickly christened it as cazu, because of its cup shape.
It was built to enjoy the views without the visual obstacle of the trees.

In most cases, the castañedo occupies a band close to the meadows, that is, the lower and lower slopes of the slopes and therefore more easily exploitable.
In the vicinity of towns and villages, it is common to find cabornos, old trees of large size and hollow trunk that were peeled to increase fruit production, while the rest of the plantation was used for logging.
The auriferous wealth of the zone was intensely exploited during the Roman domination. The cuts are still visible in the landscape of the area, as in the surroundings of the Corralín, of which a popular saying is said: “Corralín, golden bowl, you throw a stone and a treasure appears
